Terms & Conditions

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FOLLOWING RULES APPLY TO BOTH MEMBERS AND VISITING NON- MEMBERS OF THE SOCIAL COUPLE

PARTIES

This document forms a legally binding agreement between you and your partner (persons who decide to join The Social Couple and/or attend The Social Couple events). The term “The Social Couple” hereinafter will be used to refer to The Social Couple membership and events, which are a service provided by Toronto Business Casual Inc. The term “event” or “events” will refer hereinafter to your voluntary participation in any The Social Couple activities. The term “you” or “member” or “participate” or “attend” or “attendee” will refer to both persons identified in the application form when signing up for membership and/or are attending a “The Social Couple” event.  Note:If you bring another attendee to a The Social Couple event other than the person who signed up in the member application form, you are responsible for your guest reading and agreeing to the terms and conditions of the website prior to attending any events or activities hosted by The Social Couple.

PHOTOGRAPH DISCLAIMER

Photographs may be taken at events and posted on our website. You are aware that no compensation will be made for the use of your photo for such purposes. Your photograph will not be used for any printed media advertisements without prior approval from you. If you see a photograph of yourself which you object to, please contact The Social Couple to request that the photo be removed from our website.

COPYRIGHT

This website, and any other items or content on the website are the sole property of Toronto Business Casual Inc. and may not be duplicated for any purpose(s). You may not post, distribute, or reproduce in any way any material or other proprietary information of Toronto Business Casual Inc. or “The Social Couple” without obtaining the prior written consent of Toronto Business Casual Inc.; including it’s legal corporation name, Toronto Business Casual, Toronto Business Casual Inc, and/or “The Social Couple”. Any evidence as such will result in a breach of copyright law, resulting in a monetary fine and penalty as deemed suitable by the Ontario provincial court of law.

TERMS

The agreement shall begin when you partake in any of the services of The Social Couple. Using the service constitutes acceptance of these Terms of Use. If you do not agree to the Terms of Use, you will not be able to register as a Member or attend any of The Social Couple events. The term of membership with The Social Couple is the date the application form is completed and submitted to the date of cancellation or termination (whichever comes first). Membership and event fees are non-refundable. Toronto Business Casual Inc. Terms of Use are subject to change at any time. Your continued use of this service constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms of Use. Notice will be given by updates to our web site, e-mail or other means.

PROFILES

We at The Social Couple cannot guarantee the authenticity of any member’s profile. It is the member’s responsibility to check the accuracy of any information given when filling out the application form for membership and/or attending an event, or when presenting oneself to other The Social Couple members and attendees. It is the duty of The Social Couple members or attendees to report any member who is falsifying personal information to The Social Couple immediately. Toronto Business Casual Inc. the parent company of The Social Couple, may conduct random verification of profile information provided in your application form. Any false information knowingly provided will result in dismissal from The Social Couple membership or event attendance without refund.

EMAIL

Emails provided through your registration as a member or through the “Email Subscribe” page will be included on The Social Couple distribution list. This will be used to send periodic newsletters regarding The Social Couple or any other services provided by Toronto Business Casual Inc. The information you provide will not be shared with any third party without your permission. You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.

EVENTS

Toronto Business Casual Inc. is not responsible for any personal injury or property damage inflicted by The Social Couple members or attendees at The Social Couple events.Toronto Business Casual Inc. is not responsible for any personal lost or stolen articles or items during your attendance at club events. There is no guarantee of the number, quality or pricing of events provided during your term of membership. Members and non-members are expected to arrive to The Social Couple events on time. Please note Toronto Business Casual Inc. will not refund or compensate guests for events, if late arrival occurs.

TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP

The Social Couple reserves the right to suspend or terminate your membership at any time without notice, on the ground that you breach the rules outlined herein at our discretion. Termination of your membership is included but not limited to falsifying personal information on your application form, breach of club rules by you, solicitation or harassment of other members and attendees, inappropriate sexual and or criminal behavior at The Social Couple events, and drinking to the point of intoxication. We are not obliged to give a reason for your termination, or for removing members and attendees from events at our discretion. 

PAYMENTS & REFUNDS

Both individual event fees and membership dues are nonrefundable. Members or Attendees that cannot attend an event and provide notice may be provided a credit to attend a future event, at the discretion of The Social Couple team. The ability to receive a credit or refund will be identified for each event. All of our events are pre-paid directly on the website. In order to secure your spot at The Social Couple event, please pay for events by the stipulated payment deadline. Payments received after the payment deadlines will not be accepted and attendance will be denied.

ALCOHOL

The Social Couple events may be held at various licensed establishments. Members and Attendees are expected to drink responsibly at all times. You agree not to operate a motorized vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

WARRANTY

Toronto Business Casual Inc. provides this The Social Couple service “as-is” without warranty of any kind for a particular purpose. These terms extent to any third parties.  Due to the nature of internet service, the club does not offer any guarantee of uninterrupted service.

PRIVACY

The Social Couple is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. We collect information about you and your partner when you register for The Social Couple events or for Membership. We will also collect emails when you subscribe for an email. This information is used to enhance the event experience, manage your account or (if agreed to), send notification emails or, if agreed, about our other products and services.

 

The Social Couple will not sell any personal information to a third party without your written permission. Any data you submit to The Social Couple will be protected to the best of our ability. Due to the nature of internet technology however, Toronto Business Casual Inc. cannot guarantee against potential security breaches.

DISCLAIMER / WAIVER OF LIABILITY

The Social Couple is a product and service provided by Toronto Business Casual Inc.  You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Toronto Business Casual Inc.(the parent company of “The Social Couple”,  its president and coordinators, representatives and affiliates from any direct, indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental loss, liability, claim, demand or special or punitive damages, made by yourself or by any third party due to or arising out of your use of this service at any time. Toronto Business Casual Inc. disclaims all liability for the acts of other attendees or members of The Social Couple, or users of this service.

 

You acknowledge that you and your partner are voluntarily participating in the activities of The Social Couple and you will personally be responsible for your own safety during The Social Couple activities and you assume full responsibility for all damages and personal injuries of any kind, including death.

ETIQUETTE

The Social Couple Members and Attendees will be respectful to other Members and Attendees when in attendance at The Social Couple events. You will not solicit or harass others when in attendance at The Social Couple events. You will not cause damage to the interior or exterior of a chosen The Social Couple venue, and if any damages are incurred, you are solely responsible to the costs of such damages. If you are found to pose a safety threat to any Attendee, The Social Couple reserves the right to remove you immediately from the event without explanation. You agree not to engage in any illegal substance or display abusive or aggressive behavior to others when at The Social Couple events.  If an employee of The Social Couple is not in attendance at an event, we will rely on reports of such inappropriate behaviour from other Attendees and may request additional information to determine an appropriate course of action. You understand that any reports of such will result in your ejection from the event and from membership immediately.

 

As a courtesy to The Social Couple organizers, please arrive to The Social Couple events in a timely fashion.
